The Clackmannanshire Bridge

Clackmannanshire BridgeThe Clackmannanshire Bridge across the Forth opens on Wednesday, 19th November 2008. Clackmannanshire has been campaigning for a new crossing for many years and is delighted that it is now complete.

A celebratory poem has been written by Writer in Residence, Tom Murray entitled On the Opening of the Clackmannanshire Bridge.

The film below is a virtual reality fly-by of the new bridge.

The first half of the film starts on the approach to the existing Kincardine Bridge, follows the route over the new bridge, into Clackmannanshire and to the Gartarry roundabout, before returning the journey. The second half of the film shows the route from a higher level, starting in Kincardine, crossing the existing bridge, and heading back into Clackmannanshire over the new Clackmannanshire Bridge.
