It is a legal requirement that all Births, Stillbirths, Deaths, Civil Partnerships and Marriages are registered by a Registrar.
British Citizenship Ceremonies are also required to be officiated by a Registrar.
Genealogy Searches
The Registration office in Clackmannanshire has access to records of events for the whole of Scotland from 1855. Parish records are available prior to 1855.
Discretionary Services
Child Naming, and Reaffirmation of Vows Ceremonies are discretionary services provided by our Registration staff. These ceremonies are purely ceremonial in nature and have no legal standing what-so-ever. However, they can provide a perfect opportunity for family and friends to be united for the special occasion.
