School Breakfasts
A breakfast service is provided in the Secondary Schools Support Service and in ten primary schools:
- Abercromby Primary School
- Banchory Primary School
- Clackmannan Primary School
- Coalsnaughton Primary School
- Deerpark Primary School
- Fishcross Primary School
- Park Primary School
- St. Mungo's Primary School
- St. Serf's Primary School
- Sunnyside Primary School (from September 2008)
The service is available free of charge to those children registered to free school meals. All other children can have a breakfast for 65p (2008/09 academic session). Generally, the service starts 30 minutes before the start of the normal school day.
The primary school breakfast comprises:
- Tea, semi skimmed milk or fresh water
- A piece of fresh fruit or a glass of fresh, unsweetened apple or orange juice
- Cereal with semi skimmed milk. There is a choice of three cereals.
- Toast or crusty bread with spread and a choice of jam or "Dairylea" cheese.
