New Secondary Schools

Montage of artist impressions of the 3 schoolsThree new schools offering state of the art facilities to pupils and staff will open by summer 2009, transforming the country's secondary school estate.

Construction work is ongoing and as it progresses members of the community can look forward to the day when they will also benefit from the excellent new facilities on their doorstep including meeting and performance areas and sports facilities. The new schools are being funded through a PPP (Public Private Partnership) and being built by the Clackmannanshire Schools Education Partnership.

The new Alloa Academy, incorporating Fairfield Secondary Special School, is being built on land next to Alloa Family Centre. The new Alva Academy will be sited at Berryfield, next to the school's existing playing fields. While the new Lornshill Academy is being built behind the existing building.
