ABC Nursery ...
- place a great emphasis on having fun;

- offer full-time and part-time places all tailored to meet the needs of the children and their families.
Within ABC Nursery, we aim to offer the highest quality service where there is mutual trust, respect and confidence and where a caring ethos is evident.
Children are consulted about the service provided and their views and ideas are valued.
Our objectives are underpinned by our fundamental values and belief that every child is rich and resourceful. We have a commitment to listening to and valuing young people's views.
At ABC Nursery, we

Kidzone ...
- is an exciting 45 place out of school care facility for children aged 5-12 years;
- operates a Breakfast Club from 8.00 - 9.00 am, After School Care 3.00 - 6.00 pm during term-time, and full days during school holidays and in-service days;
- operates a pick up service from four schools - Claremont, Park and St Mungo's Primary Schools by taxi and by foot from St John's Primary School.
- offer full-day care from 8.00 am - 6.00 pm over holiday time - summer, Easter, Christmas, October - and on in-service days. We are able to offer flexible options from a half-day session up to full-week care.
We aim to promote a child centred ethos within Kidzone, where children have the opportunity for personal achievement.
Taking part in activities such as performance, enterprise activities and trips plays an important part in widening a young person's horizons and developing confidence. We aim to promote children's choice and ideas and respond to personal interests.
At Kidzone, the children are consulted about what they would like to do over the holiday period; this is open to children/parents one month before the schools finish for summer, as with shorter holidays periods. The team make the time to create an activity plan tailored to the children's personal interest, which combines arts/crafts, sports, trips and performance. This means children have fun and are stimulated by a child centred activity plan.
Morning and afternoon snacks are provided. A packed lunch should be provided by parents where children are in full days.
Satellite Projects
We also have two satellite projects based at St John's PS and Sunnyside PS.
- Kidzone@St.Johns is a 16 place out of school care facility for children from P4-P7. We operate during term-time only within a classroom at St Johns Primary School from 3.00 - 5.15 pm.
- Kidzone@Sunnyside is an exciting 21 place out of school care facility for children from P1-P7. We operate during term-time only from a classroom within Sunnyside Primary School from 3.00 - 6.00 pm.

All staff are expected to make a positive contribution to the general ethos of ABC Nursery & Kidzone. In turn, children are encouraged to participate in all areas of development planning, to create a completely child friendly environment.
