The Outdoor Access Strategy

The Outdoor Access Strategy is currently being developed in consultation with the Clackmannanshire Access Forum which comprises of members from local and national organisations, and groups who represent the interests of land managers, community groups, user groups and agencies within Clackmannanshire.

The Strategy defines the aims and objectives that will guide the management and development of access throughout Clackmannanshire. The document does not aim to provide prescriptive guidance on the development of individual paths, but does aim to:

  • Address the access needs and aspirations of people of all ages and abilities, and
  • Reflect the benefits and links between access and other policy agendas, including economic development and community planning; and consider how well planned and managed access can contribute to social inclusion, improved health, support sustainable transport networks and contribute to the overall quality of life within Clackmannanshire.

The Strategy will be published here in the near future.
