Brown Bins
Since March 2004, most households in Clackmannanshire have been provided with a brown bin to recycle garden waste and cardboard. Your brown bin is collected on alternate weeks to your green bin but always on the same day of the week. Please see our waste collections page for information about when your bin is collected.
Items suitable for disposal in Brown Bins
- Clean cardboard
- Grass cuttings
- Hedge trimmings
- Flowers and plants
- Weeds
- Leaves
- Wood shavings
The following items should not be put in your brown bin:
- Plastic bags, containers or packaging
- Bin liners
- Stones, soil or rubble
- Metal
- Glass
- Cat or dog waste
- Kitchen waste
- Drinks cartons
