The Council will continue to make every effort to ensure people from all groups have access to information on the full range of services it provides.
Using mechanisms set up to foster effective consultation, the Council will disseminate information on services and provision throughout the community and will ensure that comments and feedback are taken on board.
This will enable the Council to evaluate its provision for inclusiveness and accessibility informing any necessary amendments in policy or procedure as stated elsewhere in this document we are aware that some of our citizens require access and communication support and we are committed to providing this.
Employees of the Council are kept informed of our progress on Diversity through the in-house e-mail system (ECCO), through the intranet and through Service Plans and Best Value reviews.
The public are kept informed through focus groups, consultative forums, active partnerships, involvement in local voluntary sector organisations and through the press.
