Best Value Reviews Pre 2003

Like other councils we have to review our services to make sure that they provide value for money and that they reflect what our customers want. We do this through a rolling programme of Best Value reviews. All review reports include a full set of action and improvement points, agreed by an independent review panel. Progress on the action plans are incorporated into annual and half year service performance reports to the Performance & Audit Committee.

Information relating to reviews carried out prior to 2003 are published for reference only. Whilst many of the issues and best practice points will remain valid, it is likely that other changes and refinements to practice, and adjustments to priorities, mean that these reviews are mostly relevant for their historical context.
